Cindy is an approximately 6 year old chow mix.  She was brought to Dearborn Animal Hospital on Tuesday July 19, by DeKalb County animal control.   As we understand it they were called out by neighbors, Cindy was in a trash bag in a trash can left for dead.  The neighbors heard her crying and called Animal Control.  Animal Control discovered Cindy had been shot in the head and brought her to Dearborn for treatment.  We have taken x-rays and determined that she was shot and has bullet fragments in her head as well as a broken Jaw.  We are consulting with specialists to determine the best care and treatment for this type of injury.

In the meantime Animal Control and the police department have continued their investigation and have arrested the individual involved in this case.

Cindy has made great progress she is looking and acting like a great dog.  In the past months we have continued to see progress daily she is now spending her days out in the courtyard laying in the sun.  With some great work by Animal Contol she has been Adopted and the dog that she had been living with TAZ are going to be moving together to Oregon.  A special thanks to everyone that made a donation or just simply sent there prayers and hopes along.
